I Will Fear No Evil
The purpose of the roar of the lion is to paralyze his prey – to terrorize them – to leave them helpless in fear. Animals that have the ability to escape forget to run because they are paralyzed with fear when they hear the lion’s roar. If the enemy is seeking someone he may devour, the implication is that there is someone he may not devour.
