KidsPointe

KidsPointe is our children’s ministry for infants – 5th grade. Each week our amazing team of volunteers share the gospel with children through worship, games, Bible teaching and fun activities. KidsPointe is an irresistible environment your kids will love. It’s so good it will keep them wanting to come back every Sunday!
Amber is a fully certified teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in education. She taught 7 years in the public school system before accepting her current position as KidsPointe Director. She and her husband, Chris, have two beautiful daughters, Averie and Parker. Amber is passionate about teaching children how to follow Jesus.

SQUAD is our youth ministry for 6th -12th grade students to help them discuss what it means to love God and love people. We meet students where they are and help them take their next step in their faith journey! Join us Wednesdays 6:30-8:30 for the best night of the week! (doors open at 6:15)
Josh serves as our Lead and Youth Pastor at CrossPointe. He is in love with his wife Marissa and their son Lennox. Before coming on staff in 2018, Josh taught for five years at Gray’s Creek High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from UNC Chapel Hill. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from Liberty University.

Worship Team – Each Sunday the Worship Team leads us into God’s presence with powerful and anointed songs. We believe worship through music is one way we connect with our Savior on a personal level and grow in our relationship with Him.
FIT Team – The First Impressions Team (FIT) exists to make everyone that walks through the doors at CrossPointe feel welcome. We strive to create a welcoming and friendly environment from the parking lot to the auditorium each Sunday morning.
Marissa also serves as the Administrative Assistant at CrossPointe. She is married to Josh Carter, our Lead Pastor. They have a handsome son named Lennox. Marissa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She taught in the public school system for ten years and has been the Worship Leader at CrossPointe since 2010. Marissa has a heart for worship and believes music is the avenue to experience God’s presence in a deeper way.

The Media Team is a vital part of our on-site and online worship experience each Sunday. They make sure our live-stream service is on point and the in-house environment is unforgettable. This team consists of camera operators, lighting technicians, sound engineers and more. They are an integral part of our ministry strategy and help us reach people far from God every time we go live.
Micah is the Media Team coordinator and the Executive Pastor at CrossPointe. He helped his family start CrossPointe in 2004. He was also instrumental in helping PT develop our current ministry strategy that has seen over 2,000 people make decisions to become Jesus-followers. He received his Bachelor’s degree from UNCP and his Masters from Liberty University. Micah’s beautiful wife, Stefannie works as a travel nurse.

LifePointe is our small group ministry designed to help everyone develop a relationship with God and others. Our small groups are about building a community of believers to experience life together. We believe this ministry is why CrossPointe is a growing church reaching people far from God.
Tim is the LifePointe Small Groups Director. He is also an Associate Pastor on our staff. Tim and his wife, Lisa have two beautiful daughters. He is a graduate of Carolina Bible College where he received his Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies. He received his Master’s in Theology from Clark Summit University and is currently working on his Master’s in Bible Translations. He also works part time with Wycliffe Associates and serves on their team as the Regional Director of Discipleship for the Caribbean. His main responsibility with Wycliffe is translating the Bible into other languages.

RallyPointe is our military ministry. We seek to establish and expand the Kingdom of God within the military affiliated community in, and around Fort Bragg. Through enforcement of a strong sense of community in our military service members, spouses, veterans, retirees, contractors, and DOD civilians we endeavor to know Him and make Him known.
Jeremy is an active duty UH-60 Blackhawk pilot with Dustoff 3-82. The Army first brought him and his wife Desiree to Fayetteville in 2016 where they quickly formed a strong connection with CrossPointe church. Since then, through deployments to Afghanistan, training rotations, a tour in Germany, and all points in between they have experienced the military through the lens of being enlisted, non-commissioned, and now as a warrant officer. Backgrounds in ministry have led Jeremy and Desiree to view the military as their mission field and they are obsessed with seeing God’s will done in this community.
Business Administrator

Sylvia, PT and their children, Micah, and Marissa, started CrossPointe Church in their living room in March of 2004. Sylvia has been the Business Administrator since 2008 and works diligently to keep CrossPointe compliant and current with tax law and IRS requirements. She loves her family but is a little bit partial to her only grandchild, Lennox, who calls her Mimi.
Before moving to Fayetteville in August of 2000, she was the bookkeeper for the City of St Marys, GA and enjoyed her time in the Finance Department. Shortly after arriving in Fayetteville, she became the bookkeeper for Building Blocks Daycares which had 3 locations at the time. Most people who attend CrossPointe will never know it, but Sylvia is the one person who keeps the wheels turning here. She loves this church and enjoys seeing people who are far from God connect with faith.

Bro G. and his wife, Vernette have a beautiful, blended family. She brought 3 girls into their marriage, and he came with 4 boys. Finally, after years of raising kids together, they are empty nesters and loving their newly discovered life together. Bro G. and Vernette have called CrossPointe their home for over seven years.
CrossPointe’s Mission Statement also breaks down our organizational structure. Our mission is to help all people DISCOVER, DEVELOP and DO life with and for Jesus.
- DISCOVER means we help people connect with faith in irresistible environments such as Adult Worship, SQUAD Student Ministry and KidsPointe.
- DEVELOP means we help them grow in their faith by providing Small Groups, as well as our CP classes and discipleship programs.
- DO means we help them find a place to serve at CrossPointe using the Spiritual Gifts God gave them.
Each one of the 3D ministry environments at CrossPointe has an oversight Pastor. Bro G is our “DO” oversight pastor. That means his job is to help people find their spiritual gifts and use them in the right place at CrossPointe. When that happens, we operate at a much more efficient level and serve the Kingdom of God more effectively.
Bro. G has been a tremendous blessing to CrossPointe and provides incredible insight helping us become the ministry God is calling us to be.

Before stepping out into full time ministry, PT worked for O’neal Engineering in Ft. Myers, FL. He was a designer with a promising career. But God began to tug on his heart and soon he and Sylvia were traveling the Southeastern United States holding crusades and revivals. A few years later, they accepted their first senior pastor position in Bradenton, FL. They also served in the same position in Ocoee, FL, Spring Hope, NC, St. Marys, GA and finally landed in Fayetteville, NC. Each of these churches were part of the same denomination.
After almost 18 ½ years in the same organization, the door opened for PT and his family to start CrossPointe, a non-denominational church. PT says CrossPointe wandered in the wilderness for six long years before finally developing a ministry strategy that would reach thousands of people who were far from God.
Today, CrossPointe strategically targets unchurched, de-churched and done-with-church people who need a safe, welcoming, and friendly environment to explore faith and connect with God. We are reaching people with no church background who would never give traditional church a chance. So far, over 2,000 people have made the decision at CrossPointe to follow Jesus.
PT is a visionary who is always looking for the next step God is inviting us to take. He insists faith will always be a factor at CrossPointe.
